How to get a Solana token holders list

Three ways to list every wallet that holds a Solana token, what each one misses, and how to export the result to CSV.

How holdings are stored

Balances are not stored on the mint. Each holder has one or more token accounts for that mint, each recording an owner wallet and an amount. A holders list means: find every token account for the mint, add up the amounts per owner, and drop empty accounts.

Option 1 — a snapshot tool (no code)

Paste the mint address, get a table of owners and balances, export CSV. SolKit's snapshot is free, needs no wallet, supports SPL and Token-2022 mints, can filter by minimum balance, and can send the list straight into the multisender.

Option 2 — an explorer

Solscan and other explorers show a holders tab for each token. That is fine for a quick look at the top holders; for a complete list as a file, a snapshot tool or RPC query is more practical.

Option 3 — RPC (developers)

getTokenLargestAccounts returns only the 20 largest token accounts. For the full list use getProgramAccounts on the token program with a memcmp filter on the mint (offset 0) and, for the classic program, a dataSize: 165 filter. The owner is at byte offset 32 and the amount (u64, little-endian) at offset 64. Many free public RPC endpoints restrict getProgramAccounts for large tokens, so popular tokens may need your own RPC key (Helius, QuickNode and Triton offer free tiers).

Cleaning the result

  • One wallet can own several token accounts — aggregate by owner.
  • Pool vaults, exchange wallets and program-owned accounts appear as holders but are not people.
  • A snapshot reflects one moment; record the time and the slot if fairness matters.
